Two of Harrodsburg’s most famous attractions offer classrooms a quality field trip experience developed with KERA guidelines and objectives in mind. A visit to Old Fort Harrod State Park will teach students about Kentucky’s early history, while a trip to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill will educate school groups about life in the 1800s. Each of these “Edutainment” programs offers an excellent opportunity to teach students a valuable history lesson, which makes learning more meaningful and memorable.
